Reading Reviews are a big help in understanding text. When I first reading something it is important to annotate everything I read and make sure to take notes about what might be important information to the reading. After I completed the reading I like to make a vocabulary list of words that I might have not understood or had to look up. I re-read the text and write down question about the text that might be covered on a quiz or test. Finally the most important part of the reading review is to write down a summary of what you just read. Being force to write down in your own words a chapter or article is a great way to understand something. I like to think of this process as a little cliff note on the main points of the text.
